The Heart's Invisible Furies by John Boyne

I loved this book so much that it's hard to even put into words how I feel about it! John Boyne so beautifully captures the life of Cyril Avery as he navigates the struggles of life as a gay man. THe story is told in seven year increments and this really worked well for the story. It gave a good sense for each portion of Cyril's life. Boyne's writing is so fluid, so humorour and serious at the same time--I really loved it. All I can say is go read this book!
