New Boy by Tracey Chevalier

I am loving all of these Hogarth Shakespeare-inspired retellings! New Boy by Tracey Chevalier is just as promising as the others have been (such as Margaret Atwood's), and I really loved her writing. New Boy is a modern reteling of Othello, one of my favorite plays of Shakespeare. Chevalier is an author that I've read before and I've enjoyed her simplistic style which she also uses in this book. I felt that the plot did meander a bit in areas in this book, but fortunately her prose style made it to where this book was still enjoyable and I didn't lose interest. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this book, if not for the plot, then for the gorgeous writing of Chevalier!
